Why Being Authentic Can Increase Happiness

It’s the intangible aspects that lead to lasting happiness.

“Only the truth of who you are, if realized, will set you free.” Eckhart Tolle

Do you desire a life filled with happiness, abundance, and enthusiasm for what is? I know I do. But how can we discover our true joy and purpose? How can we be who we are meant to be?

We can start by harnessing the power of authenticity. Because it’s the intangible aspects that can lead to lasting happiness.

So where to begin? The roots of authenticity are sowed with deep self-knowledge and self-awareness. People who are authentic accept themselves fully. They live with integrity and are connected to their values and motivations and act from a place of truth and wholeness.

Really, authenticity is about being genuine, transparent, and vulnerable. These qualities can help us to connect with others on a deeper level and increase happiness while decreasing stress. When we detach from the need to be something or someone else, it puts the brakes on perfectionism and amps up the authenticity.

To live authentically, respect and pay attention to your inner voice and accept yourself as you are.

Living authentically, and in a way that brings joy, can also help us to connect with others and relate to the world around us. It’s about following your dreams, and when you start to live a life that you value, you may discover effortless energy for life and more happiness.

Begin by discovering who you really are. What do you want to contribute to the world? What kind of life do you want to create? What do you need to thrive? Listen to your inner wisdom and begin to take steps to create an authentic life.

A life filled with joy and peace is yours and mine to build.
